    Salary: $800 / Week

     

    Position: Residential Support Specialist

     

    Residential support specialists work directly with the children aged 5-18 yearsin a residential program. Residents all go to school on-site and have an IEPfor at least 1 mental health diagnoses, ranging from Depression/Anxiety toBipolar disorder, Borderline, and others. The Residential Support Specialistcreates a safe, trauma informed, and therapeutic environment for the emotionalnurturing and healthy development of each youth. Through a trauma informedlens, Residential Support Specialists are responsible for providing physicalcare, social and moral guidance, teaching skills, and role modeling for youthin residential care. Residential Support Specialists work as part of amulti-disciplinary team and are expected to collaborate with their unit team,clinical team, Residential departments, internal departments and programs, andexternal team members for youth in care.

     

    Pay: $20-$23 / hour depending on experience**overtime available for shifts exceeding 8 hours

    Schedule:

    - AM / PM available

     

    - 9-10 hour shifts

     

    - must be comfortable working weekends

    Requirements:

    - Previous experience working with youth or similar populations,especially in a mental health setting

     

    - Experience handling crises and de-escalation

     

    - CPI, Pro-Act, or SPA training preferred

     

    - SPA training and certification will be required prior to starting

     

    - CPR/AED/First-Aid certification required prior to starting
