We are seeking a skilled Payroll Analyst with expertise in both US and Canadian payroll to join our dynamic team.

    Job Summary:

    The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for administering and processing payrolls for both the US and Canada, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and provincial regulations, company policies, and best practices. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and experience in both US and Canadian payroll processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead one Senior Payroll Specialist who resides in Canada.

    + Process various payrolls in US and Canada, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    + Calculate and verify wages, overtime, deductions, and benefits in compliance with Federal, State, Local, and provincial payroll regulations (e.g., CRA, Employment Standards Act).

    + Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including but not limited to W4s, W2s, T4s, T 2200s, WCB, ROEs, and remittances for taxes, and other statutory deductions.

    + Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including timekeeping, leave balances, and benefits administration.

    + Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, and Canadian labor laws, tax regulations.

    + Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the various departments within the company

    + Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits in a professional and timely manner.

    + Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and security.

    + Support year-end payroll processes, including audits and reporting requirements.

    + Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to streamline processes and improve payroll efficiency.

    + Stay updated on changes in Federal, State, Local, Canadian, and provincial legislation and best practices.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years focused on Canadian payroll processing.

    + In-depth knowledge of Federal, State, Local, Canadian, and provincial regulations, including Federal guidelines, State guidelines, CRA guidelines, CPP, EI, and provincial tax requirements.

    + Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Ceridian, or similar systems) is required.

    + Familiarity with multi-province payroll processing is an asset.

    Skills and Abilities:

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll-related software.

    + Excellent communication skills to interact with employees and cross-functional teams.

    + Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

    + Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    + Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Fundamental Payroll Professional (FPC) from the Payroll Organization, or either a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation from the National Payroll Institute is preferred.

    Working Conditions:

    + Standard office environment or hybrid work arrangement (depending on location).

    + Occasional overtime may be required during peak payroll periods or year-end processes.
