• Proposal Specialist

    J **ob Overview:**

     

    APTIM is searching for a Proposal Specialist who has a vast understanding of the federal proposal process with a basic understanding of state and local proposals as well.

    Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

    + Proposal Development

    + Lead task order or small proposal efforts

    + Support larger/strategic proposal efforts as a member of the disaster preparedness/response team

    + Writing and editing proposal narrative, resumes, and project descriptions

    + Interviewing technical and program staff to extract critical information

    + Tracking all solicitation amendments and modifications

    + Performing quality and compliance checks of all proposal sections and volumes

    + Develop an understanding of APTIM's practice in the Response and Recovery space to aid in management of proposal tools, compliance matrices, bid decisions, schedules, outlines, storyboards, win themes, and action items

    + Marketing Support

    + Coordinate development and maintenance of various marketing materials, including qualifications, brochures, and presentations

    + Develop and maintain company data and metrics to support sales and marketing efforts

    + Proposal Related Administration

    + Support company business development workflow in Salesforce, including opportunity creation, records management, budget development and request, and gate reviews

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Critical attributes include exceptional organization, time management, multitasking, communication, and teamwork skills

    + Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, engineering or related discipline

    + Five or more years of proposal experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-volume proposal environment is preferred

    + Some large (>$10M) proposal experience is required

    + Understanding complex Federal proposals, to include Task Orders and large-scale MATOCs/IDIQs

    + Basic understanding of state and local proposals is preferred

    + Demonstrated organizational capability and ability to balance multiple competing priorities under deadlines

    + Ability to manage concurrent assignments

    + Ability to motivate along with a "do-whatever-it-takes" attitude

    + Ability to manage situations involving high stress and deadline pressure

    + Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite is required

    + Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is preferred

    + Excellent command of English grammar and punctuation is required

    + Proven ability to work remotely with little to no supervision is preferred

    + Although not extensive, some travel and evening and weekend work may be required

    Additional Desirable Qualifications:

    + APMP certification is preferred

    As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $36.06 - $40.87/HR Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
