Storage Analyst Back Open Systems COL Colombia - Medellin     Responsabilidades Generales Responsible for managing storage environments, which may include incorporating disk, tape, SAN and storage software's, resolving storage short falls, alerting and resolving performance issues and advising end users. Gives support to the applications working with the developers to determine storage requirements and with existing programmers and system administrators to optimize storage. Perform capacity planning, forecasting the need or possibility of storage growth and determining allocation of different storage and service tiers. • Monitor, maintain and support of storage and backup infrastructure (DISK, SANs, VTS, NAS, and TAPE LIBRARIES). Assign additional resources in accordance to previously defined processes. • Provide support for problems related to storage and backup infrastructure, including malfunctions, vendor support, technical problems in problem determination and possible solutions. • Perform planned changes, restores, assignments and modifications of storage and backup infrastructure. Assist senior personnel on complex restore and assignments processes. • Coordinate communication and support with storage and backup infrastructure equipment providers for upgrades and replacements. • Install, implement, and administer backup and recovery packages and / or new storage infrastructure. • Execute restore processes I.E. (Full Server; restore to dissimilar environments; Customized restores). Support junior personnel on restore processes. • Design, create or identify storage or backup solutions based on needs, prior solutions analysis and best practices according to business needs.     Educación y Experiencia Requerida Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Systems or 24 Credits or more of an accredited University. One (1) to Five (5) years' experience working with Windows and Unix/Linux administration and systems configurations. Or, at least, 5 years working in IT related fields with 3 years of backup experience, including backup tools, configurations, Backup solutions design and troubleshooting.     Conocimiento y Destrezas Requeridas • Knowledge in NetBackup, Veeam, Avamar is desired. • Knowledge of storage best practices, data retention policies and recovery strategies.• Previous experience working with storage, backup, recovery infrastructure and software's . • Previous experience working with infrastructure is a plus. • Must be customer oriented • Excellent communications skills both written and oral in English and Spanish. • Should have previous experience working with VMware. • Previous experience working with Windows and Unix/Linux • Experience working with storage is a plus. • Previous experience working in IT Projects is a plus. • Knowledge on implementation and administration backup, recovery packages and tools. • Must be a Team Player • Demonstrated experience on process documentation. • Oracle Database knowledge is desired.     Información Adicional Lunes a Viernes de 8am a 5pm Se requiere disponibilidad para trabajar horario extendido, fines de semana y/o feriados y disponibilidad para viajar según sea necesario.   El empleado debe cumplir con los siguientes requisitos para participar en el proceso de reclutamiento:   Mínimo de doce (12) meses como empleado regular de la Compañía en su puesto actual.  Obtener una calificación de "Cumple Expectativas" o "Excede Expectativas" en la evaluación de desempeño de los últimos dos años.  No debe tener acciones disciplinarias durante el pasado año de empleo.  Cumplimiento con el Código de Etica y Estándares de Conducta.    Evertec Group, LLC es un Patrono con Igualdad de Oportunidades de Empleo
