Purpose:
The Customer AI Product Strategy (CAPS) team at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking an Associate Director, AI For Medical Engagement to support the Oncology portfolio and lead end-to-end development of customer engagement solutions. This includes data products, AI/ML based insight engines, driving omnichannel strategy and operations, and impact measurement.
The Associate Director, AI For Medical Engagement, will play a pivotal role in leading our medical engagement transformation products- delivering an outstanding experience that delights customers and positions Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine for sustained competitive advantage.

You will be responsible for** **:
Serving as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) and overall business product owner of all medical engagement solutions within the oncology portfolio.
Driving continuous evaluation and enhancement of data sets and products to strengthen insights and predictive capabilities for medical customer engagement solutions.
Leading a team of Engagement managers and cross-functional partners to identify and quantify opportunities to improve patient outcomes through compliant scientific exchange, evidence dissemination and insights generation.
Partner closely with HCC, privacy, and legal to ensure all solutions are grounded in compliance and uphold confidentiality.
Develop and be responsible for the measurement framework to evaluate execution, track impact, and find opportunities to optimize investment.
Collaborate across medical affairs, scientific affairs, commercial advanced analytics, data science & engineering, and information technology, among others, to shape medical omnichannel solution roadmap and evolve scientific engagement strategies.
Provide strategic guidance to senior leaders within medical affairs, scientific affairs, and brands teams to inform medical engagement strategy and innovation.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Experience and Skills:
A minimum of 8 years of relevant business experience in healthcare, analytics, data science, management consulting or related field is required.
A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; Ph.D. is highly preferred.
Competencies:
Proven experience working with healthcare claims, electronic health records (EHRs), and specialty pharmacy data for real-world evidence generation and patient analytics—particularly in identifying unmet needs and treatment gaps—is required.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, is essential.
Strong influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, and collaborate across diverse business functions, are required.
Successful track record of implementing innovative solutions—including AI/ML applications—within the pharmaceutical industry is required.
Solid understanding of machine learning techniques (e.g., supervised, unsupervised, deep learning), including their practical applications and limitations in real-world settings, is required. Ability to do hand-on analytics.
Ability to interpret predictive model outputs, evaluate performance, and translate findings into actionable insights that align with brand strategy is required.
Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to deliver results in a matrixed environment, are required.
High intellectual curiosity and a passion for continuous learning and innovation are essential.

This position is based in Horsham, PA and will require up to 15% domestic travel

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750 USD
