Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a **Food Operations Manager 2** for **Umass Health** located in **Worcester, MA** . In this role you will provide food service leadership to a small team of hourly associates, supporting patient meals (3x/day), and a small cafe setting. You will work Monday-Friday, however you may also need to provide weekend depending upon operational needs.

What You'll Do

+ lead a team of hourly employees by delegating, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring daily operations in the kitchen

+ work hands-on in the kitchen, taking on all duties as needed including some cooking

+ ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance

+ have daily interaction with patients and customers to ensure high level of satisfaction

What You Bring

+ prior leadership experience in food services within healthcare, hotel, and/or restaurant environments

+ culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance

+ experience prioritizing tasks and flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement -Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
