    **Sodexo’s** **Campus Segment** is seeking a **Food Service Manager 3** for the **University of New Haven** in **New Haven, CT** . In this role, you’ll lead a dedicated dining services team and help shape a vibrant, student-centered culinary experience.     What You'll Do

    + Oversee the daily operations of residential and/or retail dining venues, ensuring quality food production, safety, and service standards.

    + Manage and develop frontline staff, including union employees, to ensure a positive team culture and consistent performance.

    + Control food and labor costs through effective scheduling, production planning, and inventory management.

    + Partner with culinary and administrative teams to support high-profile campus events and ensure smooth coordination.

    + Drive student satisfaction by responding to feedback, resolving issues, and maintaining strong campus relationships.

    + Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety programs.

    What You Bring

    + Experience managing high-volume dining operations in a college/university or contract food service setting.

    + Strong leadership skills with experience training and supervising hourly employees; union experience preferred.

    + Working knowledge of food production, basic culinary operations, and service execution.

    + Familiarity with food and labor management systems (e.g., UFS, Kronos, Catertrax).

    + Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and build positive client relationships.

    + A collaborative mindset and the flexibility to adapt in a dynamic campus environment.

    Qualifications & Requirements

     

    Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience

     

    Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

     

    Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
