_JOB OPPORTUNITY: Physician (Cardiothoracic Surgeon)_ Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Inc. seeks a full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon to perform comprehensive assessments and cardiothoracic surgical procedures on patients including heart transplants, aortic valve replacements, mitral valve repairs and replacements, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement; provide patient and family education, psychosocial support, and appropriate referrals to other specialists; participate in education programs for medical students, advanced practitioners, nurses and others; participate in quality improvement activities; and document patient information appropriately in the electronic patient record according to Medical Group policy and regulatory requirements. Will work at Hartford Hospital, 80 Seymour Street, Hartford, CT 06106 and the Medical Group's office located at 85 Seymour Street, Hartford, CT 06106. The minimum requirements for this position are: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), or the foreign equivalent; completion of a U.S. medical residency program in General Surgery and a U.S. medical fellowship program in Cardiothoracic Surgery; board certification or board eligibility in General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery; and the possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license.
