    Position: Tech Education & Support Specialist - Epic Beaker

     

    Department: Technical Education Support

     

    Shift: 8:00AM-4:30PM

     

    Status: Full-time/ 80 hours per pay period

     

    Facility: Premier System Support/ Hybrid

     

    The Technical Education and Support Application Specialist must develop and maintain a deep and broad functional knowledge of the application and related workflows, and is responsible for planning, coordination, implementation, management, training, and support of all application-related training/upgrades/GoLives. This includes developing project plans, identifying and scheduling resources, and coordinating efforts between team members, IT and stakeholders to complete projects according to plan. The Application Specialist creates and/or directly oversees the development/revision of all application-related training and training materials. It is essential that this role create and maintain highly effective relationships and ongoing communication with application user groups and associated Information Technology teams, as well as participate in related team meetings. The Application Specialist is expected to participate in training environment build and credential trainers as needed.

    Education

    **Minimum Level of Education Required:** Bachelor's degree

    Additional requirements:

    **Type of degree** : Medical Technology, related Laboratory or other related Science degree, Management, Informatics

     

    Licensure/Certification/Registration

     

    Certification in appropriate EPIC application(s) within 1 yr. of hire

     

    Certification as Clinical Lab Technician (ASCP or NCA)

    Experience

    **Minimum Level of Experience Required:** 3 - 5 years of job related experience

    **Prior job title or occupational experience:** Clinical Laboratory experience in an inpatient or outpatient Lab setting

    **Prior specific functional responsibilities:** Experience in a healthcare setting

    **Preferred** **experience:** Experience teaching diverse learners, proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience managing projects, experience managing a laboratory information system

    **Other** **experience requirements:** Experience using electronic medical record, preferably EPIC

    + Ability to present in front of a group
