    Job Title: Bilingual Construction Supervisor – Landfill

     

    Position Type: Direct Hire

     

    Salary Range: 85k

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a results-driven and safety-focused **Construction Supervisor – Landfill** . This critical leadership role is responsible for supervising day-to-day landfill operations and managing a team of Lead Operators, Operators, and General Laborers. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with operational plans, regulatory permits, and safety protocols while promoting a culture of employee engagement and operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Safety Leadership:

    + Lead and communicate safety goals to team members.

    + Identify and eliminate unsafe conditions or practices.

    + Partner with maintenance to keep equipment safe and operational.

    + Drive a safety-first culture through active engagement and personal leadership.

    Customer Experience:

    + Ensure customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

    + Resolve service issues, equipment breakdowns, and schedule conflicts promptly.

    + Foster positive relationships with customers to promote satisfaction and loyalty.

    Operational Efficiency:

    + Enforce adherence to fill sequencing and landfill operating permits.

    + Support the achievement of density goals and budget targets.

    + Monitor and manage labor, disposal, and equipment costs.

    + Partner with fleet and maintenance teams to ensure reliable service delivery.

    Employee Engagement & Leadership:

    + Build and mentor a collaborative, high-performing team.

    + Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.

    + Recognize and prepare future leaders within the team.

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience.

    + Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

    + Ability to manage large teams and drive process improvement.

    + State certification (as required by regulation).

    + Experience in labor relations preferred.

    + Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    + Ethical, safety-driven, and committed to excellence.
