UNCPN Internal Medicine at Goldsboro** **is seeking a** **dedicated and skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant** **to support our internal medicine team with a strong emphasis on** **acute care and complex case management** **. This is a great opportunity to practice in a** **collaborative, hospital-affiliated outpatient setting** **where patients present with a wide range of urgent and high-acuity needs.

Position Highlights:

+ **Evaluate and treat acute medical conditions and urgent care needs in adult and geriatric populations**

+ **Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other team members to develop rapid, effective treatment plans**

+ **Provide care for patients recently discharged from the hospital or ED, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing readmissions**

+ **Manage short-term follow-up appointments for acute illnesses and exacerbations of chronic disease**

+ **Participate in triage, diagnostics, treatment, and management of higher-acuity cases within the clinic**

+ **Monday–Friday schedule, with no nights or weekends required**

Qualifications:

+ **Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina (or eligible)**

+ **Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program**

+ **Acute care or internal medicine experience preferred; however, new graduates with strong clinical training in acute care settings are encouraged to apply**

+ **BLS and ACLS certification required**
