In September of 2017, Bob Evans Farms was acquired by Post Holdings, Inc. and is part of the Refrigerated Retail division. Other divisions of Post include Post Consumer Brands (Cereal), Weetabix (Cereal – UK), Michael Foods (Foodservice), and 8th Avenue Food & Provisions (Private Label). Post has aggressive growth plans for BEF, highlighted by the recent deployment of capital to support innovation, marketing and manufacturing. Responsibilities The Customer Insights Manager is a customer-facing role that supports the Customer Team at Bob Evans strategic accounts to improve planning, sales execution, and financial results through insights and evaluation. Evaluates appropriate, strategic business and industry drivers. Will assist in developing, implementing, and managing a sales strategy to achieve accelerated sales goals. Engages directly with buyers and provides customer-specific insights, reports, and evaluation Performs market assessments to provide recommendations on regional assortment, pricing, and merchandising Supports development of joint business planning (JBP) plans and materials; maintains plans throughout the year Responsible for identifying insights on new item launches and working closely with Marketing, Trade on insights to provide feedback Provides insight into customer e-commerce vs. brick-and-mortar sales performance Maintain weekly, quarterly, annual forecasts for shipments by category and track performance against plan Supports the development of promotional plans and tactics; responsible for planning and managing promotional plans Collaborate with various internal teams to bring value to the assigned customers (Category Management, Trade Management, Brand, Shopper Marketing, and E-Commerce) Provide input to the annual operating plan (AOP) through integrated business planning Focus on identifying actionable customer insights, in addition to analyzing and reporting on historical performance. Identifies and develops long-term opportunities for Bob Evans growth through insight derived from available research and data. Evaluates sales, syndicated data; shopper marketing data, and industry intelligence to improve category and customer planning; sales execution and financial results. Responsible for improving delivery of data and insights to customers, will present and review delivering shopper marketing and new insight Will serve sophisticated accounts and elevate BEF brand at accounts. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business management/ related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or combination of education and experience. Advanced knowledge of proprietary and syndicated data sources (i.e., Kroger 84.51, Retail Link, IRI/Nielsen, shopper marketing data) Strong executive communication skills: Solid written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and storytelling Clear results orientation: He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment Broad perspective: Knows how to pull insights from multiple sources and unexpected places to drive break-through understanding and action plan Demonstrated experience managing external partners and ability to influence without formal authority Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience preferred
