    Director Omnichannel, Retail Technology & Process Optimization

     

    We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Retail, Omnichannel Technology and Process Optimization to lead the transformation and modernization of our in-store and omnichannel technology capabilities across Vans, The North Face, and Timberland brands in the Americas region.

     

    This role is a critical leadership position responsible for shaping and executing the technology strategy that fuels growth across physical retail and digital commerce. Reporting to the Senior Director of Retail Operations, the successful candidate will serve as a strategic cross-functional partner to our Digital Technology and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) leadership teams.

     

    How You Will Make a Difference

    _What you will do:_

    + Partner with key leaders to shape the global omnichannel and retail technology strategy and roadmaps, including aligning on annual priorities and securing project funding/resourcing.

    + Lead a team of five, to deliver the defined omnichannel and retail technology projects within the Americas region, while providing/facilitating technology support to our Store Operations team.

    + Work cross-functionally to coordinate the multiple stakeholders required to deliver against omnichannel and retail technology projects; this includes working together with Store Operations, eCom, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and our Digital Technology teams.

     

    _How you will do it:_

    Own and evolve three core DTC capabilities:

    Omnichannel Enablement – Drive innovation and integration across fulfillment, inventory visibility, and customer experience journeys (e.g., BOPIS, BORIS, Endless Aisle).

     

    Retail Technology – Lead the deployment, performance, and evolution of in-store systems (POS, mobile devices, network, clientele tools).

     

    Process Optimization – Evaluate end-to-end store operations processes to identify opportunities for labor efficiency, cost reduction, and elevated customer service. Partner with Store Ops, DT, LP, and HR to implement changes that increase productivity and improve associate and guest experience. Develop a multi-year roadmap aligning omnichannel, tech, and store process priorities with brand and business goals.

    + Managing an engaged and motivated team – leading through the lens of our brand values and leadership principles, while delivering upon our employee value proposition.

    + Delivery of an aligned global omnichannel and retail technology strategy and roadmap, which underpins our brand positioning & purpose, and matches to our DTC growth ambitions.

    + Successful omnichannel and retail technology project delivery in the Americas – in line with the business case and project scope – which includes change management and operationalizing new capabilities into our organization.

    + Ensuring smooth daily operations of our in-store technology, and timely troubleshooting as issues arise.

    + Champion continuous improvement through pilots, testing, and feedback loops.

    Skills for Success

    Years of Related Professional Experience:

    10+ years general management experience in the retail/DTC field or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and ability.

     

    Educational Position Requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

    + You are an expert in omnichannel (preferably at a global-level) and are well informed on industry-leading omnichannel and retail technology capabilities & solutions.

    + You have experience in creating strategies, with a track record of successful project deliveries.

    + You can manage across multiple stakeholders, initiatives, and competing priorities all while ensuring excellent project management.

    + You are a strong communicator & presenter, and proficient at navigating a large, global organization.

    Hiring Range** **:

    $185,760.00 USD - $232,200.00 USD annually

     

    **Incentive Potential** : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
