Director, Global Technology & Ecosystem Partnerships
Job Description:
The Director, Global Technology & Ecosystem Partnerships will play a critical role in expanding and managing Sage’s global network of technology partners. This individual contributor role focuses on identifying, recruiting, and enabling technology and ecosystem partners that enhance Sage’s core product offerings—such as accounting, finance, ERP, HR, and payroll solutions—across key global markets.
This role is ideal for a strategic business development leader who can navigate complex partner ecosystems, lead the recruitment of tech partners and contract negotiations, and build long-term commercial relationships that deliver measurable results for Sage and its customers. The Director will work cross-functionally with product, legal, sales, and marketing teams to ensure consistent partner experience and scalable global expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle for a portfolio of global technology and ecosystem partners aligned with Sage’s core products (e.g., accounting, finance, ERP, payroll, HR).
• Identify, evaluate, and recruit high-potential partners that complement Sage’s solution strategy and deliver differentiated customer value.
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract execution in coordination with legal, finance, and product teams.
• Build strong executive relationships with strategic partners and serve as their primary point of contact at Sage.
• Develop and manage partner account plans, including joint go-to-market activities, enablement strategies, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with regional sales and channel teams to drive adoption, referrals, and co-selling opportunities.
• Support the onboarding process, ensuring partners are integrated into Sage’s operational workflows and enabled for success.
• Provide strategic input to internal stakeholders on ecosystem gaps, innovation trends, and partner opportunities.
• Act as an internal champion for your partners, driving alignment across Sage functions to unlock value and accelerate results.
Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in business development, alliances, or partner management—preferably in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
• Deep understanding of technology ecosystems and how integrated partnerships extend platform value.
• Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing global partnerships and working across geographies.
• Strong commercial and strategic acumen with a track record of executing partner agreements and delivering joint growth.
• Comfortable leading cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders across product, legal, marketing, and sales.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels, including executive stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Experience with ERP, finance, HR, or payroll systems is preferred
