Christian Hospital has a great opportunity for a Cytotechnologist to work in a full-time position. In this specialized role, you will work with a strong community of lab professionals in a hospital setting. Background in cytology is preferred.

+ No weekends or holidays. On campus. 32hrs/week, 8hr shift, days; 7:30am-4:00pm

_Northwest HealthCare_ , six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

Histology Laboratory performs a wide variety of routine histotechnologic procedures & histochemical stains. Our Immunohistochemistry area performs over 100 antibodies on both tissue sections & cytology specimens.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Responsible for delivering precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results.

Responsibilities

+ Responsible for performing specimen preparation, staining and screening of specimens submitted for cytological examination.

+ Screens accurately GYN and non-GYN cytology samples and may assist with fine needle aspirations on/off campus.

+ Performs quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary. Maintains staining rows and records daily Quality Control of stains and technical quality of cytology preparations.
