    Enterprise Director of Sourcing for BJC HealthCare System

     

    This Director will be over OR, Nursing, Interventional, Pharmacy and Lab. They will manage a team of 25-28 sourcing professionals. This leader can live in the St. Louis or Kansas City area.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Role Purpose

     

    Provides strategic direction and daily management for all aspects of sourcing including supplier relationship management, negotiations and contract management. Leads the development and implementation of state of the art sourcing and contracting strategies that will minimize the organization’s total cost of ownership for supplies and services while maintaining a customer focused culture and meeting the needs of diverse constituencies. In addition, this position is responsible for identifying and implementing industry best practices that will ensure BJC is considered a world class supply chain organization both within and outside the health care industry.

    Responsibilities

    + Recruits and retains a diverse staff of high performing individuals who have growth potential and are considered highly promotable, providing training and mentoring that develops both technical and leadership skills.

    + Takes a leadership role in collaborating with specialty teams, physician lead clinical expert councils and other stakeholders to identify and educate team members on the implications of various vendor selection and sourcing strategies. Utilizes experience and knowledge to guide the teams to effective decisions that maximize BJC’s leverage and minimize total cost of ownership.

    + Develops and implements a supplier relationship management program that allows BJC to segment its vendor base and match sourcing and contract management strategies accordingly. Creates balanced supplier scorecards that will be utilized in the supplier selection process as well as business reviews.

    + Develops and implements a standardized contract management process that optimizes work flow and ensures BJC receives maximum benefit from implemented contracts.

    + Proactively provides input on industry best practices and assist vice president in developing and implementing BJC’s short and long term supply chain strategy. Works collaboratively with department and other organizational peers to effectively implement those strategies.Develops policies and procedures that maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the department. Ensures all proper internal controls are in place to safeguard the assets of the system and satisfy internal and external regulatory requirements.

    Minimum Requirements
