    This is an exciting opportunity for a registered medical assistant to join a growing Ortho practice as a Lead Medical Assistant.

     

    The ideal applicant will have strong MA skills, excellent communication skills and prior leadership experience is preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Role Purpose

     

    Responsible for leading a team of Medical Assistants in providing patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. Serves as an experienced role model within the practice supporting compliance, providing cross-training, following practice protocols and performing procedures within the practice.

    Responsibilities

    + Manages inventory and tracking of medications and supplies.

    + Ensures practice is in compliance with OSHA and all protocols/procedures in the delivery of patient care.

    + Acts as MA clinical subject matter expert to assist practice management in oversight of coverage and daily patient operations.

    + Monitors MA required training and certification records and ensures everyone is in compliance with HR.

    + Performs triage of incoming escalated patient requests.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education

    + High School Diploma or GED

    Experience

    + 2-5 years

    Supervisor Experience

    + < 2 years

     

    Licenses & Certifications

     

    + Cert/Reg in Area of Expertise
