Job Purpose:
Responsible for strategically sourcing, purchasing, and managing all food, beverage, and related equipment for Sycuan Casino and Singing Hills Golf Resort. Ensures asset protection through internal controls, oversees vendor relationships, initiates purchase orders and bids, and ensures quality to support operational excellence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Procurement Manager, acquires supplies, equipment, materials, and services for Sycuan Casino Resort, Singing Hills Golf Resort, and Tribal Government departments as assigned. Ensures compliance with Tribal Gaming Commission policies, evaluates requisitions, issues purchase orders, manages capital projects, and collaborates with departments to determine the proper course of action to meet needs, and implements the purchasing process throughout the organization.”
+ Ensures the efficiency of procurement services by receiving purchase requests from departments, initiating contact with suppliers, contacting and evaluating vendors, requesting bids, and assessing bid competitiveness, negotiating with vendors for the best quality, price, and delivery, observing budgetary limitations, and maintaining an awareness of current market trends, preparing final bid contracts for departmental, review and approval, developing productive working relationships with existing and potential vendors and suppliers, preparing and issuing purchase orders and change notices, while managing and maintaining vender contracts.
+ Assists departments by collaborating with and maintaining productive working relationships with department personnel, coordinating with department personnel to ensure product availability and resolving supply chain issues, researching and analyzing new products, equipment, and services upon request, and monitoring purchases to ensure compliance with budgetary and operational guidelines, advising and ensuring departmental contractual consistency and best practices, , researching out of compliance purchases, reporting findings to appropriate personnel, and providing support for special events and promotions requiring specific F&B procurement.
+ Ensures continuous improvement of food and beverage purchasing services by proactively analyzing market and delivery conditions to determine present and future needs, analyzing the value of purchases for potential incremental improvements, maintaining current knowledge of the industry, and purchasing-related developments and innovations, and implementing strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
+ Ensures consistent application of ordering procedures by creating, reviewing, and updating purchase orders, recording inventory data in the purchasing database system, maintaining monthly overdue stock reports, informing the Manager of discrepancies, ensuring compliance with all internal controls and audit requirements, and communicating with food and beverage department personnel when purchasing procedures have not been followed.

Education and Experience:
Essential:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, related field, or equivalent experience in a procurement role.
+ 3 years of Procurement experience
+ Current food handler card
Desirable:
+ Experience in procurement for a tribal gaming facility
+ 1 year of direct customer service experience in a related industry
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:
+ In-depth understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing, vendor management, negotiation, and contract administration.
+ Proficiency in purchasing and inventory software systems
+ Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure favorable terms and pricing
+ Excellent written and verbal communication in the En glish language, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with team members, guests, and vendors at all levels.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial data, inventory control programs, and market trends to make sound judgments.
+ Exceptional organizational and record-keeping skills, with keen attention to detail.
+ Ability to understand and follow complex verbal directives and written instructions.
+ Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a dynamic work environment.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
+ Ability to accept constructive criticism

+ Working knowledge of SharePoint or similar collaboration platforms
