Job Description:
Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst for a short-term contract role to support scenario analysis related to grants and funding. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects impacting community programs and initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
+ Scenario Analysis: Develop and conduct in-depth financial scenario analyses to assess the impact of changes in grant funding, allocation, and program priorities.
+ Grant Budget Management: Review grant agreements and funding guidelines to ensure compliance and alignment with financial projections.
+ Forecasting: Create detailed funding models and projections using historical data, anticipated grant disbursements, and program-specific requirements.
+ Reporting: Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders, including senior management and program leadership.
+ Risk Assessment: Evaluate financial risks associated with funding uncertainties and propose mitigation strategies.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with program managers, grant coordinators, and finance teams to gather data and provide actionable recommendations.
+ Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide support for additional budgeting, forecasting, and reporting requests as needed.
Requirements
Requirements:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree or CPA designation preferred.
+ Experience: 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, with exposure to grants, funding, or the public sector highly preferred.
+ Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) a plus.
+ Knowledge of Grants: Familiarity with grant funding processes, allocation methodologies, and compliance requirements.
+ Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and ability to provide high-quality, accurate deliverables under tight deadlines.
+ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report preparation and presentation delivery.
+ Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust to evolving priorities.
