• Accounting Manager/Supervisor

    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee and optimize financial operations within our manufacturing organization in Downers Grove, Illinois. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, manage accounting systems, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting software and a proven track record in financial management.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and auditing processes.

    • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

    • Implement and maintain accounting software systems such as BlackLine, Concur, and ERP platforms to streamline processes.

    • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

    • Manage financial reporting and budgeting to support organizational goals and decision-making.

    • Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies.

    • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings.

    • Optimize workflows and processes to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.

    • Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with broader business objectives.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, including managerial roles.

    • Public/Private experience preferred

    • CPA required

    • Expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis.

    • Familiarity with financial regulations and tax compliance requirements.

    • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.

    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
