Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in West Des Moines, Iowa. This long-term contract role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in analyzing business needs and translating them into actionable solutions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in insurance or financial services and excel in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure system functionality meets business needs.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews to identify key objectives.
• Provide configuration documentation and ensure clarity in system processes and workflows.
• Apply Agile Scrum methodologies to deliver solutions efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct thorough reviews of documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the implementation and validation of life insurance and annuity processes.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices during project execution. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 6–10+ years of business analyst experience, with a minimum of 4 years in insurance or financial services.
• Proven expertise in life insurance and annuity processes is highly desirable.
• Advanced ability to define business requirements and create technical documentation.
• Strong proficiency in developing and executing test plans and cases.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and principles.
• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and multitasking skills.
