Description

We are looking for an Entry-Level Estimator to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you will assist with preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment required for construction projects.

• Review project specifications and documentation to ensure a thorough understanding of requirements.

• Conduct site visits and gather relevant data to support accurate estimations.

• Collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and engineers to refine bids and proposals.

• Utilize estimation software to calculate costs and streamline the estimation process.

• Analyze project plans to identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities.

• Develop and maintain accurate records of estimates and project budgets.

• Assist in preparing competitive bids that align with company goals and client expectations.

• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure accurate cost analysis.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.

• Proficiency in cost estimation software such as Sage and McCormick.

• Knowledge of electrical systems and construction processes.

• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost calculations.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

• Previous experience or education in cost accounting or estimation preferred.
