• Solr 4 Systems Engineer

    Description

    Robert Half is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Solr Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on maintaining, diagnosing, and optimizing Solr systems while leveraging modern tools for automation and distributed systems management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Solr Expertise: Deploy, monitor, and manage Apache Solr systems, with a strong emphasis on Solr 4 and Solr 8 environments.

    + Monitoring Tools: Utilize tools like Splunk to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues efficiently.

    + Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts in PowerShell and Bash to automate tasks and manage systems effectively.

    + Configuration Management: Employ tools such as Ansible and Chef to orchestrate, configure, and automate systems management.

    + Version Control: Proficient use of version control systems to manage code and configurations systematically.

    + Distributed Systems Management: Manage distributed systems environments, including Kafka and Zookeeper.

    Additional Requirements:

    + On-Call Rotation: Demonstrated experience and willingness to participate in on-call rotations for production support.

    + Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting system issues.

    + Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

    + Experience: Minimum of 4 years working with Apache Solr versions 4 and 8.
