    Job Title: Tax Manager

     

    Salary: $130K-170K

     

    My client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tax Manager to lead and manage their tax compliance, planning, and reporting processes. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate tax operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and implementing effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while supporting business goals. The Tax Manager will report directly to the Finance Director and will play a key role in driving efficiencies within the tax function.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage the preparation and submission of federal, state, and local corporate income tax filings in accordance with deadlines.

    + Oversee accurate and timely preparation of tax provisions under ASC 740 guidance.

    + Maintain compliance with sales & use tax, property tax, and other indirect taxes.

    + Develop and implement innovative tax strategies aimed at minimizing tax liabilities and optimizing tax efficiency.

    + Monitor changes in tax regulations and recommend proactive solutions to the executive leadership team.

    + Guide and participate in tax-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.

    + Conduct research to address tax-related questions and to ensure compliance with evolving legislation.

    + Analyze financial statements and transactions to assess tax risks and opportunities.

    + Provide supervision, coaching, and support to a team of tax professionals.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate financial reporting teams and external advisors.

    + Manage relationships with internal and external auditors, ensuring smooth audits and reliable documentation.

    + Lead responses to tax examinations, inquiries, and notices from various taxing authorities.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

    + 5-8 years of progressive tax experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

    + Expertise in corporate tax compliance, ASC 740, tax controversy, and transfer pricing.

    + Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws.

    + Strong technical skills, including proficiency in tax software and ERP systems.

    + Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
