Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Norwalk, Connecticut. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude toward solving financial discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare, update, and maintain financial records, reports, and documents.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes to meet deadlines.
• Input financial data into accounting software and databases, ensuring precision.
• Generate invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Provide documentation and support during audits, responding to inquiries as needed.
• Monitor financial transactions and categorize them appropriately.
• Maintain organized financial filing systems, both physical and electronic.
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks to support the accounting department. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
• Advanced skills in Excel and other Office applications.
• Strong organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to multitask effectively.
