    The Morton County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for appointment to serve on the Morton County Weed Board from District #3, New Salem Area District and District #5, Flasher Area District.  The Weed Board shall implement a program for the control of noxious weeds. The board employs a Weed Officer and works closely with landowners. The County has been divided into six weed districts.

     

    Any qualified elector of District #3, New Salem Area is eligible for appointment. The appointment is for a 4-year term expiring 08/01/2029.

     

    Any qualified elector of District #5, Flasher Area District is eligible for appointment. The appointment is for a 4-year term expiring 08/01/2029.

     

    Board Members may serve for more than one term.

     

    Deadline for submission of applications is August 20, 2025
