SUMMARY: The Aircraft Maintenance Manager manages assigned aircraft maintenance lines using production schedules, labor analysis, and budgetary information. Utilizes resources to manage entire projects for the maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration of aircraft. Oversees product quality while ensuring maintenance tasks and functions are carried out in compliance with the applicable requirements of the air carrier maintenance program and its inspection procedures manual.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Ensures direction of maintenance programs is consistent with ATS goals and targets.
+ Directly responsible for oversight of Aircraft Maintenance program.
+ Coordinates with Quality Control to assure, within ATS repair station limitations, that aircraft maintenance is performed and carried out in accordance with approved Federal Aviation, Manufactures, Customers and ATS procedures and requirements.
+ Reviews customer program and FAA regulations to ensure compliance.
+ Manages the overall maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration of, or approve and return to service any aircraft or part thereof.
+ Ensures communication of all significant information, including work, risk, safety and quality.
+ Ensures coordination with internal support organizations to provide necessary product and services when required.
+ Ensures Engineering priorities support aircraft delivery milestones.
+ Ensures all assigned areas are clean and audit ready and clear of hazards that pose a risk to employee safety and quality of work. Ensures compliance with safety requirements.
+ Directly responsible for the on-time delivery and adjustments of aircraft delivery schedules.
+ Monitors crew completion dates and hours estimates for inclusion in daily labor tracking.
+ Responsible for labor hours and part expenditures.
+ Ensures coordination of maintenance labor requirements in conjunction with other maintenance lines, to ensure most efficient utilization of labor and resources.
+ Coordinates LOW when all utilization options are exhausted.
+ Provides a positive interface with the customer.
+ Directly responsible for the Profit/Loss (P/L) of maintenance programs, achieving performance targets. Communicates budget plans with team.
+ Responsible for successful progression of mechanics through On-the-Job Training (OJT) program.
+ Reviews recommendations and implements changes to processes to improve efficiencies and workflow.
+ Complies with, communicates and ensures compliance of team members on ATS policies, procedures and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. Promotes "Balanced Technician" concept.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ recent commercial aircraft maintenance and/or MRO experience required.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ aircraft maintenance supervisory experience required.
• Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Compensation
The base salary for this position is $111,000-$166,000 annually, exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus. If you are hired at ATS, your final base annual rate will be based on factors such as skills, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range noted above is the full base annual range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous benefits package, as detailed below.
