• Senior Accountant

    **Job Title:** Senior Accountant

    **Location:** Catalent –Manassas, VA (On-Site)

    **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM

    **Pay Rate** : $ 40.00/hour

    Job Summary

    As a Senior Accountant, you will be an integral part of the finance team, overseeing general accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Prepare accurate financial statements and regulatory reporting.

    + Manage month-end and year-end close processes.

    + Reconcile account balances and bank statements.

    + Maintain the general ledger with precise financial reporting.

    + Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.

    + Assist with internal and external audits.

    + Ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures.

    + Develop and implement financial controls.

    + Mentor and support junior accounting staff.

    + Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.

    + Prepare and submit tax returns and regulatory filings.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    + CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

    + Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.

    + Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.

    + Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + High attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Preferred Skills

    + Experience with SAGE ERP systems.

    + Public accounting background.

    + Knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices.

    + Advanced Excel proficiency.

    Additional Requirements

    + Education: HS Diploma / GED minimum. Must provide highest degree.

    **Pay Details:** $40.00 per hour
