    Responsibilities for a Facilities Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to:

    • Perform basic handyman tasks including repairs to fixtures, fittings, and furniture

    • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) inspections per schedule (e.g., lighting checks, emergency equipment, HVAC filters)

    • Manage and supervise contractors on site, ensuring safe systems of work are followed

    • Operate and enforce the permit-to-work system for maintenance and construction activities

    • Support small to medium project installations and minor refurbishments

    • Assist with equipment and infrastructure setup, installation, or removal

    • Monitor building systems and report issues through the FM Helpdesk system

    • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and contribute to risk assessments

    • Maintain records and logs of completed works and contractor activities

    Candidates for Facilities Maintenance Technician must meet the following requirements to be considered:

    • Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman role in a facilities/building services setting

    • Working knowledge of contractor management and permit-to-work systems

    • Ability to carry out PPM inspections using checklists and basic tools

    • Understanding of safety systems of work and FM compliance responsibilities

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach

    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

    Preferred but not required:

    • Basic technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Maintenance Operations or equivalent)

    • Experience supporting office or industrial facility projects

    • Familiarity with FM Helpdesk and CAFM systems

    **Pay Details:** $26.00 per week
