**Job Title:** Loss Prevention & Safety Associate (2nd Shift)
**Employment Type:** Temp-to-Hire (Full-Time)
Position Overview
The Loss Prevention is responsible for protecting associates and company assets while fostering a culture of safety and compliance within the distribution center. The LP enforces established security and safety procedures, conducts audits, responds to incidents, and collaborates with internal departments and external agencies to ensure a secure working environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Enforce all access-control and visitor-management.
+ Monitor facility, trailer yard, and parking areas through patrols and CCTV; identify and report security or safety deficiencies.
+ Perform guard-shack operations, including trailer check-in/out, to secure merchandise and property.
+ Conduct safety and security audits; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
+ Respond promptly to incidents (e.g., theft, workplace violence, medical emergencies), investigate as directed, and prepare detailed reports.
+ Support loss-prevention investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing involved parties, and maintaining confidentiality.
+ Promote a safety-first culture by partnering with distribution-center departments to address violations and provide ongoing guidance.
Qualifications
+ **High school diploma or GED required**
+ Working knowledge of access-control systems, CCTV technology, two-way radio communication, and Microsoft Office applications.
+ Familiarity with OSHA 1910 guidelines and loss-prevention standard operating procedures.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate conflict and maintain composure under pressure.
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for an entire shift.
+ Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing stairs or ladders.
+ Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
+ Visual acuity sufficient to monitor CCTV screens and read printed/electronic information.

**Pay Details:** $19.92 per hour
