We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Exhibits Specialist to design, maintain, and enhance engaging environmental displays and interactive exhibits.     The Exhibits Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, design and construction of all educational exhibits associated with the Wetlands Center.

    Duties

    + Responsible for the maintenance, design and construction of all educational exhibits and displays associated with the Wetlands Center.

    + Performs general cleaning/maintenance of the Wetlands Center Exhibit Hall.

    + Assists the Education Coordinator to develop requirements for exhibits, displays and interpretation for outreach and the Wetlands Center.

    + Assists with Wetlands Center administration activities including coordinating vehicle maintenance and maintaining vehicle records.

    + Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Required:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

    + Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (must obtain TX driver’s license within 90 days).

    + Two years of experience in a related field.

    Preferred:

    + Previous maintenance or construction experience.

    + Bilingual in English/Spanish.

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

     

    Ability to perform minor repairs, follow written and oral instructions and operate tools and machinery necessary for maintenance and repairs.
