Job Overview:
The Payroll Systems department is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Time and Attendance (T&A), Advanced Scheduler, Absence Management, and other dependent applications across RWJBarnabas Health.
The Manager, Payroll Systems will lead a team that provides day-to-day functional and integration support for T&A systems and their connection to enterprise applications such as HCM. This role plays a critical part in supporting production environments, implementing new affiliate sites, and managing upgrades, releases, and technical system changes.
The Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including HR, Payroll, IT, and site-level teams, to ensure systems meet operational needs and support business objectives. The role is integral in maintaining data accuracy, ensuring compliance, and enhancing system functionality to support the broader goals of the Health System.
Qualifications:
Required:
+ BA/BS in Computer Science, Finance or relevant degree or equivalent experience
+ Must have at least 5 years of experience managing functional and/or technical resources supporting Time and Attendance, Advanced Scheduler applications.
+ Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in a complex Healthcare or similar industry with Unions and multiple payroll companies setting.
+ Must have in-depth knowledge of Time and Attendance, Data Hub or Integration tools, Advanced Scheduler, Absence Management, Analytics modules.
+ Must have at least 5 years of experience in Time and Attendance, Advanced Scheduler products.
+ Must be able to function in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
+ Must be able to accept customers' need to constantly prioritize projects.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
+ Able to manage multiple priorities on an ongoing basis while maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
+ Excellent analytical skills.
+ Ability to translate business requirements meet business objectives.
Preferred:
+ Experience in Pay policy standardization is preferred.
Scheduling Requirements:
+ Full-time, Day
+ Will be required to travel to different affiliates within the health care system as needed.
Essential Functions:
+ Understand the functional capabilities of the applications and supporting infrastructure.
+ Work with business owners to understand business priorities and support the configuration of software to enable supporting processes.
+ Work with Payroll Managers to enable key processes leveraging standard application capabilities and configuration.
+ Develop and communicate technical vision to address short-term and long-term solutions.
+ Follows IT/departmental standards, procedures, and project documentation requirements.
+ Manage projects related to the Pro WFM or any other related products.
+ Provides strategic and operational expertise to business owners and stakeholders to ensure seamless and accurate payroll management.
+ Monitors the application of time attendance policies, procedures and programs to ensure alignment with the company's overall strategic objectives and vision.
