    THE OPPORTUNITY

    Silvus is seeking a full-time **_Associate R&D Test Engineer_** to report to the _R&D Director, Integration and Test_ and will be part of the _R&D team_ that develops testing infrastructure and performs comprehensive testing, vetting, and demonstration of Silvus’ MANET radios and other wireless products and technologies under development.

     

    This position is **100% onsite Monday through Friday** and the location for this role is Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of **_West Los Angeles, CA_** .

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in electronics work environment, **_or_** Associate degree with 1 year of experience, **_or_** Bachelor or higher degree from an accredited university or college

    + Familiarity and experience working in testing embedded systems

    + Exposure to the use of RF instruments such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and channel emulators

    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    + Proven experience in programming using C/C++, Python, or MATLAB

    + Exposure to networked testing systems

    + Experience in testing embedded radio communication systems

    + General understanding of working in both Windows and Linux operations

    WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    + Outdoor environment for demos.

    + Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens while performing tests or demonstrations in the field.

    + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:

    + Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.

    + Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.

    + Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.

    + Walking/Moving in the labs.

    COMPENSATION

    _The pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data, and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications._

     

    CA Pay Range

     

    $70,000—$85,000 USD

     

    NOTE - As a U.S. Federal Contractor, Silvus Technologies requires that ALL candidates being considered for employment for any position (regardless of level) MUST be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen). Stricter U.S. Citizen ONLY requirements are needed for some Engineering or R&D roles.
