Job Description:
Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Facilities and Event Operations Coordinator position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 34 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-DI).
The Coordinator, Facilities & Operations serves as a competition manager for assigned intercollegiate events and assists with oversight of varsity practices, special events, outside rentals, camps & clinics, tournaments and championships hosted by the Division of Athletics. Assists athletic facilities & operations staff with day-to-day facilities & operations duties, including facility scheduling, maintenance, event set-up/breakdown, projects, etc.
Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years’ experience in athletic administration preferably in facilities management, event management, or similar operations capacity.

+ Strong planning and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
+ Demonstrated ability to utilize computer software and other requisite programs.
+ Proficient in a variety of software (Scoreboard, Video, etc.).
+ Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Ability to demonstrate a strong client service orientation; should be extremely customer focused on both internal and external customers and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds. • Must be flexible with a high sense of accountability and responsibility.
+ Willingness to be available on weekends or evenings when/if necessary.
+ Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
+ Must be physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
+ Knowledge and understanding of, and commitment to compliance with, NCAA, ECAC, Ivy and University rules and regulations regarding operations.
+ Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
