    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    This role involves working in a food manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for tasks related to tray scraping, cup supply, and ensuring product quality. You will rotate through various positions such as Tray Scraper, Cupper, Picker, Handpacker, and others to maintain efficient production processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Wear and maintain gloves in a sanitary manner, switching them out during rotation.

    + Supply cups for all cup setter magazines and clear cup paper stuck on a cupsetter head as needed.

    + Scrape trays and keep the cupsetter area clean at all times.

    + Ensure cup paper size is correct for product being run and each tray cavity has received one cup paper.

    + Reposition incorrectly deposited cup papers and remove extra cups; replace stretched, cut, or pinched cup papers with acceptable ones.

    + Clean Tonnaer screw when the line is down for one shift or longer.

    + Remove defective product from inspection belt and place into rework or stockfeed pan.

    + Monitor product jams and perform metal checks every two hours.

    + Reject large quantities of unacceptable product when necessary and clean metal detection probes.

    + Start and stop the main line as needed and perform metal detection checks at the end of a production run.

    + Fill cases with the required number of bags and monitor the integrity of bag seals.

    + Inspect wrapped products and reset the main line after a wrapping stop.

    + Rotate through stations promptly, fill and seal cases, perform finished product quality tracking, and record case count.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production, general labor, packaging, food production, and food manufacturing.

    + Ability to work both 2nd and 3rd shifts, with initial training on 1st shift.

    + Must wear steel/composite toed shoes and adhere to dress code requirements.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Must wear pants without rips; jeans are acceptable.

    + Hair net, beard net, jacket (provided), hard hat, and gloves required.

    + No jewelry or hoodies allowed; long sleeves are okay but cannot be rolled up.

    The work environment is clean and climate-controlled, adhering to all GMPs. Employees will be rotating between 2nd and 3rd shifts in a food manufacturing setting.

    This is a Contract position based out of Hershey, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
