    Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

    Job Description

    Set up, program, operate, or tend computerized or manual woodworking machines, such as drill presses, lathes, shapers, routers, sanders, planers, or wood-nailing machines. Examine finished workpieces for smoothness, shape, angle, depth-of-cut, or conformity to specifications and verify dimensions, visually and using hands, rules, calipers, templates, or gauges. Start machines, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is operating properly.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up, program, and operate woodworking machines.

    + Examine finished workpieces for conformity to specifications.

    + Verify dimensions using various tools.

    + Start machines and adjust controls for proper operation.

    + Make trial cuts to ensure machinery is operating correctly.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in CAD drawings.

    + Ability to use a tape measure accurately.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude.

    + Experience with hand tools and power tools.

    + At least 1 year of CNC machine operation experience.

    + At least 1 year of experience transferring programming from computer to CNC machine.

    + At least 1 year of experience with CAD drawings.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Carpentry experience preferred.

The company collaborates with various commercial outlets to design customized display cases and store fixtures that reflect brand identity.     This is a Contract position based out of Benicia, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
