Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires:
TEKsystems’ Proposal Center is looking for project managers and skilled writers who will help us advance the business through managing and writing Requests for Proposals (RFXs). As part of a global company, the Proposal Manager II may collaborate with teams in other Allegis Group subsidiaries, both in the United States and internationally, to develop, implement, manage, and enhance global best practices during document development. The Proposal Manager II is responsible for leading and supporting all phases of the document creation process for RFXs. This involves creating the content needed in response to commercial and state government requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and requests for qualifications (RFQs).
Our ideal candidate has strong writing and verbal communication skills, as well as at least 3+ years of experience writing and managing collaborative document creation processes. They are looking to grow their career in proposals and have likely managed the process from beginning to end in previous roles and are familiar with APMP and Shipley’s best practices. They are experienced in partnering with sales and sales leadership to write and respond to RFXs.
The Proposal Manager II is comfortable with day-to-day RFX activities, thriving under tight deadlines, evolving needs, and coordination with matrix teams. They are detail-oriented writers and project managers who manage their time well while supporting multiple projects that produce measurable results.
Essential Functions:
+ Partners with sales and a matrix team of internal supporting stakeholders to respond to RFXs
+ Supports RFX operations by conducting kick-offs, check-ins, and reviews, as well as copy editing to ensure the development and on-time delivery of high-quality, compliant documents
+ Sets clear expectations for an operating rhythm and communication norms
+ Manages team collaboration and communicates/tracks team action items
+ Escalates risk or issues to the appropriate person, department, or manager in a timely manner
+ Grows and maintains job-appropriate levels of technical and industry knowledge
+ Provides administrative support to core Proposal Center operations, including content development, editing, win/loss review, etc., as needed
RFX Functions:
+ Analyzes and RFXs for mid- or large-tier opportunities to develop win themes and align proposal responses accordingly
+ Supports all phases of the proposal process, including, but not limited to, content management (content review and creation), process improvement, response design and development, response quality assurance, and proposal delivery
Supervisory or Management Responsibilities:
+ May support leadership by providing peer/partner feedback for performance reviews
+ May support the onboarding of new team members
Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:
+ 3+ years of professional business writing, editing, and project/process management experience required
+ Versed in a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures (ex, Shipley’s proposal methodologies) required
+ Strong English verbal and written communication skills required–fluent in other languages a plus
+ Excellent organizational skills, including time management, as well as the ability to maintain working files and revisions of documents required
+ CF.APMP certification (or higher), Shipley certification, or equivalent experience preferred
+ Industry knowledge of Information Technology staffing and/or Technology Services is desirable
+ Familiarity with the following technology stack is desirable: Microsoft Office, Salesforce.com, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, or proposal software and related tools (like QorusDocs or Qvidian)
+ Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of commensurate work experience in the related field preferred

Special Requirements:
+ No travel is required for the day-to-day operations of the role
+ Travel may be required periodically for in-person team meetings or other requirements (typically no more than two times a year)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $61000.00 - $91600.00/yr.
