We help the world bring out its best
SAP’s CX Core Content Development team is looking for a senior marketing copywriter with sharp editorial instincts and a strong sense of audience, brand, and business purpose. You’ll write and refine crisp, compelling digital copy—bringing consistency, creativity, and polish to every touchpoint. A key part of your role will be helping contributors who aren’t professional writers elevate their work, so strong editing skills are essential.
You’ve done it all: the high-volume marketing assets that keep the engine running and the high-concept creative that makes people sit up and pay attention. You know how to write for the situation at hand—and just as important, how to make a good draft great. You’re fast, thoughtful, and fiercely attentive to detail. You’re equally comfortable developing copy from scratch or jumping in to reshape something messy. This is a high-output writing role for someone who’s as confident revising a clunky sentence as crafting a killer headline.
Responsibilities include
+ Write clear, concise, production-ready copy for SEO-focused web pages, landing pages, email campaigns, e-books, and other digital formats.
+ Review and edit writing from contributors who aren’t professional writers to ensure polish, consistency, and brand alignment.
+ Apply SAP’s house style and brand personality across a wide range of topics and touchpoints.
+ Translate business inputs, briefs, and stakeholder feedback into effective, customer-facing messaging.
+ Collaborate closely with editors, designers, content strategists, and project managers to deliver cohesive digital experiences.
+ Contribute to shared documentation and editorial standards that support quality and consistency across the writing team.
+ Support onboarding and mentoring of junior writers, and review writing and editing from external vendors to ensure brand consistency.
+ Develop and help oversee editorial workflows and QA processes for high-throughput content development.
+ Meet a service-level objective of 3–7 business days from initial briefing or intake to first draft.
Basic qualifications
+ 5 years of professional writing and editing experience, including digital marketing and web content for B2B audiences.
+ A portfolio that shows range, polish, and measurable impact across digital formats—especially web, long-form articles, e-books, and email.
+ Strong working knowledge of the _Chicago Manual of Style_ and the judgment to know when to follow it, when to bend it, and when to clarify it for others.
+ Proven ability to edit copy for grammar, syntax, clarity, and tone—and to explain those changes when needed.
+ You’re a grammar expert who knows the difference between grammar facts and grammar myths—and you can spot and fix errors while articulating why they matter.
+ Experience working with technical subject matter and subject matter experts in a marketing context.
+ Working knowledge of SEO principles and how they shape digital copy.
+ Exceptional attention to detail and style, with the ability to uphold brand voice and editorial standards across all content.
+ Ability to manage multiple deadlines while producing high-quality work with minimal editorial intervention.
