The not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record services. Our large, quiet labor/birthing rooms are private and located away from other patient care areas. The private patient rooms on the 5th floor Medical/Surgical Department boast views from every window.

     

    Administration, staff, and medical providers are committed to delivering high quality, comprehensive health care services to the people of the Hi-Line communities of Montana.

     

    Specialties of our active staff of doctors include Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Hematology, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Optometry, Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, Pain Management, Pathology, Podiatry, Psychiatry, Psychology, Radiology and Women’s Health.

    For the convenience of our patients, we also host visiting physicians at our clinics in the areas of:

    + Cardiology

    + Neurology

    + Pediatric Pulmonology

    + Urology

    + Radiation Oncology

    + Nephrology

    + Endocrinology

    + Optometry

     

    About the role

     

    Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Director and/or the pharmacist on duty, the Pharmacy Technician will provide adequate supportive assistance to enable the Pharmacist to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to patients, customers and residents, in the most economical and professional manner.

     

    Certification is preferred but will consider training. Certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED and must be at least 18 years of age.

    + Must have no history of drug addiction or misuse.

    + Current certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and the Board of Pharmacy.

    + No previous experience is required but previous experience in the health care field is desirable.

    + Must have typing ability and good telephone etiquette.

    + Must have ability to follow oral and written instructions with accuracy, speed and dependability

    + Must be able to work with frequent interruptions and be flexible in work load and schedule.

    + Must be able to set priorities, solve problems and respond quickly to emergency requests.

    + Must be willing to perform routine repetitive tasks on a continuing basis.

    + Must be able to work cooperatively with staff within the Pharmacy and all other areas.

    + Must be dependable in attendance and job performance; most possess effective verbal and written communication skills, allowing for the ability to read and interpret a broad range of prescription terminology and medications.

    + Must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This includes the ability to calculate dosages and days' supply for prescriptions.

    + Computer literacy desirable.

     

    Shifts vary between 6:30 AM through 7:00 PM and are scheduled any day of the week, including weekends.

     

    Salary is commensurate with up to 10 years of experience.
