The Position
The purpose of this role is to strategically partner with the senior project management team and functional line representatives to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, thereby ensuring alignment and driving successful project outcomes that enhance overall organizational effectiveness.
Relationships
Reports to Manager, Director.
Essential Functions
+ Oversee Project Planning and Scheduling
+ Take charge of the project planning and scheduling processes, ensuring meticulous monitoring and control to generate valuable insights into project performance
+ Champion Capital Expenditure Projects
+ Lead the strategic planning efforts for Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects, fostering alignment and efficiency
+ Enhance Project Performance Visibility
+ Spearhead the management of project sched-ules and performance metrics by delivering comprehensive routine reporting
+ Develop Comprehensive Project Plans
+ Create detailed project plans that encompass the full project scope, engaging stakeholders in meaningful discussions to guarantee thoroughness
+ Monitor Investment-Level Project Plans
+ Maintain and oversee investment-level project plans, conducting regular follow-ups with stakeholders to ensure on-track progress
+ Conduct Critical Path and Impact Analyses
+ Execute critical path analyses and scenario planning to assess potential impacts and guide decision-making
+ Collaborate with Senior Project Manager
+ Partner with the Project Manager during routine Steering Team meetings, providing essential updates on scheduling, risk management, and impact analyses
+ Lead Risk Assessment Discussions
+ Facilitate in-depth risk assessment discussions with the Project Team, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of risks
+ Track Risk Management Actions
+ Follow up on risk management actions and maintain a comprehensive risk registrar to track all identified risks
+ Communicate Risks Effectively
+ Ensure consistent and transparent communication of risks to the Project Steering Team, fostering informed decision-making
+ Establish Project Resourcing Plans
+ Utilize project level plans to design and maintain effective project resourcing strategies
+ Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Planning/Management or related field of study from an accredited university required, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in project management & planning, or related experience required
+ In lieu of Bachelor’s degree + three (3) years of experience, may consider an Associate’s degree in Business, Project Planning/Management or related field of study from an accredited college or university with five (5) years of experience in project management and planning or related experience required
+ In lieu of Bachelor’s degree + three (3) years of experience, may consider a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project management and planning or related experience required
+ Knowledge of business processes in manufacturing & operations required
+ Proficiency in SAP and Clarity preferred
+ Proficiency in MS Project required
+ Strong ability to analyze & think strategically preferred
+ Attention to detail required
+ Proficiency in creating & delivering charts, graphs & presentations preferred
+ Strong written & oral communication skills with colleagues at all levels required
+ Ability to establish credibility & influence with diverse audiences preferred
+ Strong scenario analysis, problem solving & organizational skills preferred
+ Ability to facilitate meetings in person or virtually required
+ Comfortable conducting business in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment required
