The successful candidate will develop and operate mission-critical services and applications that are used by customers and employees worldwide. The company offers a great work environment! Software Engineer Responsibilities: * Lead the technical design, implementation, and deployment of software solutions. * Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are successfully executed, meeting the company's standards for quality software engineering. * Design and ship a high volume of elegant code with foresight to avoid performance, scalability, usability, maintainability, availability, and testability issues. * Identify opportunities within the team for potential leverage and reuse by developing libraries, APIs, and shared services. Software Engineer Qualifications: * 6+ years of software engineering experience. * BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field. * Proven track record of developing large-scale, highly available services and systems in Java, Python, React, Hadoop, Kafka, and Kubernetes. * Working experience in building systems, databases, and Linux-based infrastructures (SQL). * Working experience in the development as well as consumption of Web Services APIs (JSON / XML / RPC) is preferred. * Demonstrated understanding of Computer Science fundamentals is preferred. * Demonstrated understanding of architectural models and technology stack used for developing highly scalable and highly available web applications and systems is preferred. * Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies is preferred. * Experience developing mobile applications is a bonus. * Experience with data-related technologies, ETL processes, large data sets, and data streaming services.
