    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Willing and able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

    + Willing and able to work overtime.

    + Must have basic computer skills.

    + Must participate in Direct Deposit.

    + Successful completion of the employment screening process to include, but not limited to, a national background investigation and drug test.‎

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Dietary experience.

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Food Service Administrator and ensure that food is stored, prepared, distributed and served under sanitary conditions.

     

    + Maintain dish room, serving area, dining room, and food storage areas in an orderly and sanitary condition.

    + Completes assigned cleaning tasks.

    + Assist in the preparation of meals as assigned, pull and pre-prep foods as assigned, help set up and serve all meals.

    + Knowledge and performance of the equipment, procedures and techniques used in cooking, baking, and/or meat cutting.

    + Ability to read and follow recipes and/or other instructions.

    + Record all temperatures in the temperature book (food and equipment).

    + Report any faulty equipment to the supervisor.

    + The Food Support Worker will place food items on serving lines and keep the serving line well stocked.

    + The FSW will maintain, check and control kitchen inventory to determine quantities available as well as amounts needed for operations.

    + Assist with purchase requests for food, cleaning supplies, utensils, pots and pans.

    + Dishes and paper products in the kitchen.

    + Verify incoming shipments and receipts in the absence of stock person.

    + Check in and put away stock off the trucks. Rotate stock throughout (dry storage, refrigerators and freezers).

    + Assure all equipment is turned off properly and that all doors are locked at night prior to leaving.

    + Keep the chemical room clean and organized with everything off the floor.

    + Keep all hand soap and paper towel dispensers filled throughout the kitchen and food service restroom.

    + Attends in-service training and performs other duties as assigned.

    + The SSA attends in-service training classes and performs related duties assigned by supervisor.

    + Performs other related duties as required including special catering events and meal charges
