    Job Description:

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Nutrition and Diabetes Assistant provides support for the Nutrition and Diabetes Services Department located at the Marshfield Center Health System (MCHS), including general clinical, clerical, inventory, retail, educational programming, and technical support. The assistant schedules patient appointments and classes, as well as maintaining staff schedules. The assistant interacts daily with multiple customers, both internal and external, with the expectation of excellent customer service. The assistant provides support for the department staff and administration as requested.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

    _For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._

     

    **Minimum Required:** None

    **Preferred/Optional:** Post-secondary education as a unit clerk, office assistant, medical assistant, secretarial support, or related field.

    EXPERIENCE

    **Minimum Required:** Two years’ experience working in an office setting with customer service experience. Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.

    **Preferred/Optional:** Two years’ experience working in an office setting with customer service experience within a healthcare system.
