    Provide contact and liaison between customers, the sales team and internal departments. Process incoming orders; receive, evaluate, and respond to written or telephoned customer inquiries in a timely manner. Work within established guidelines in order to achieve the objectives of the service agreement consistent with customer expectations, company policy and profit and quality requirements.

     

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00 pm

     

    The starting rate is $19.00/hr

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Receive inbound calls and place outbound calls to customers in order to provide information about products and services, to take orders, or troubleshoot and resolve challenges.

    + Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, issues, and comments, as well as actions taken.

    + Respond to customers' service or billing questions; check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' questions.

    + Ability to solve problems, troubleshoot and prioritize tasks for urgency throughout the day.

    + Be flexible and work well in an everchanging and fast paced environment.

    + Phone and email etiquette and standards of excellence in all forms of communication.

    + Coordinate same-day deliveries and pickups for customers. Process pickup requests from customers and Sales team. Respond to delivery/routing questions from customers.

    + Respond to product inquiries from customers.

    + Confirm invoices in system, put in numerical order and file invoices.

    + Proactively identify opportunities for improvements in products, shipping, service, or billing methods and procedures to help to continue to grow our business.

    + Other duties as assigned by Manager.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    + **Onsite** : The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods office-based environment.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    + Three years’ experience in customer service required

    + Excellent verbal communication skills and problem resolution ability required.

    + Familiar with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).

    EDUCATION

    + High School Diploma or equivalent required

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience in working in food manufacturing or distribution.
