What You'll Be Doing
**Job Scope:** Generally responsible for planning and scheduling heavy industrial engineering projects, monitoring project costs and/or estimating projects. Work will be performed under minimal supervision.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
+ Assists with the development of the electrical and instrument work scope.
+ Identify, scope, and produce construction work packages for execution.
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings.
+ Perform and lead field walks for site verification.
+ Provide leadership in risk management, contractor safety, and mitigating safety issues in operations
+ Organizing materials through expediting, quoting prices, and ensuring the correct parts are available for jobs
+ Create detailed planning activities in P6 for each work order utilizing planning templates as applicable. Activities include individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline.
+ Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution.
+ Create job planning packages for each work order per guidelines for both internal and external distribution, e.g. bid events, contractor field personnel, etc. Packages may include pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.
+ Support Management of Change process, recognizing plant changes and following through on all documentation and recommendations in a timely manner.
+ Ability to effectively communicate scope, revisions, and activity breakdowns to other groups.
+ Uphold and communicate high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and on all job sites. Conduct frequent formal housekeeping inspections of plant areas.
+ Complete close out and documentation as required by site standards and procedures.
Below is the range that we in good faith believe is the potential compensation for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Hargrove’s total compensation package for Teammates. Actual compensation will be based on education, experience, skill set and location.
Minimum Salary: $35.00 per hour
Maximum Salary: $50.00 per hour
Ideal Background
**Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field is highly preferred.
**Certification:** AACE International or Project Management Institute (PMI) certification is preferred.
**Experience:** This position requires 5+ years as an Electrical and Instrumentation Planner; 5+ years of Electrical/Instrumentation journey-level maintenance experience and/or Instrumentation Maintenance planning; 5+ Years of experience in Electrical and Instrumentation construction.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings and PID’s.
+ Experience in preparing and reviewing test / work packages for issuance to the field
+ Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.
+ Extreme attention to detail.
+ Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines.
+ Understanding of existing and potential customer deliverable expectations and preferences.
+ Ability to set priorities.
+ Ability to effectively discuss and correspond with engineering disciplines and/or contractors to ascertain and understand pertinent information concerning schedules, scopes of work, estimates and/or project costs.
+ Coaching and mentoring skills and experience.
+ Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Excellent presentation skills.
+ Excellent organizational skills.
+ Knowledge of other disciplines deliverable development to ensure coordination of efforts.
+ Knowledge and understanding of schedule constraints and information requirements for the production of all project controls deliverables.
+ Experienced in scheduling professional service hours and assessing the progress and quality of project controls work. Ability to accurately estimate completion of assigned tasks.
+ Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
+ Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
