Overview
THE ROLE:
We are seeking a self-motivated team member that has demonstrated ability to work autonomously, collaboratively, and is passion for driving problem solving and technical solutions. This individual must have the ability to effectively communicate at various levels of the organization. In addition to being coachable this individual must have the ability to teach, coach and mentor.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
• Understand Principles of Operation for Packaging Line Current State.
• Ability to run Filler, Checkweigher, Sealer, Metal Detector and Capper Equipment, to Design of Experiments, Trials and troubleshooting.
• Learn capabilities for future state Packaging to support process parameter and tooling optimization.
• Understand correlation for raw material, formulation impact to process parameters and tooling.
• Quick Reference Guide for process parameter and tooling.
• Work in Partnership with R&D to support New Formula, Reformulation, and New SKU launches.
• Ability to execute DOE (Design of Experiment in Pilot Lab) and analyze data.
• Support Feasibility Studies, Powder Flow Testing instrumentation, Particle Size Distribution, and identifying Loose/Tap density.
• Support projects/cost savings initiatives to Optimize Yield loss reduction for Packaging Lines.
• May need to support in other areas in Manufacturing as needed.
WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:
• We provide support to Operations and cross-functional support groups.
• We support a multi shift Operation, which can include after-hours support needs.
• Variation in day-to-day activity from working autonomously on tasks, supporting as project team member or project leader.
• Our function reports into Quality function which provides exposure to the front side of business and ability to cross training within Quality function.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
• 6 years plus experience supporting and lead process engineering technical support at food, pharmaceutical, supplement or skincare manufacture.
• Bachelor’s Degree within Chemical Engineering or related engineering field.
• Ability to utilize various forms of continuous improvement, for example Fish Bone, Why Why, and DMAIC.
• Ability to execute and analyze data for DOE (Design of Experiment).
• Ability to teach, coach and mentor on continuous improvement tools, DOE and project execution.
• Ability to facilitate discussions with various stakeholders and levels within the organization.
• Experience base in functional areas that interact with R&D such as QA, QC, and Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
• Experience in working in GMP environment.
