Praxis Health is launching astate-of-the-art, patient-centered clinic, and we’re searching for aLead Medical Assistantto help shape this exciting new healthcare model! This model will provide more provider facetime than your traditional Medical Assistant role, which means greater learning opportunities and ways to support patients. If you are tired of all the prior authorizations getting in the way of patient care, this is the place!Clinic will have a care manager and behavioral health onsite so that you're not trying to do everything independently. We need anexperienced,proactive, team-oriented Medical Assistantwho is passionate aboutpatient care, process improvement, and supporting a high-performing clinical team.If you thrive in a team-based environment and are excited aboutbuilding something new, this role is for you!

What You’ll Be Doing

+ Provide direct patient care, including vitals, injections, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures.

+ Coordinate daily workflowsto optimize efficiency and enhance the patient experience.

+ Assist withtraining and mentoring new team members.

+ Ensure compliance withclinical protocols, safety regulations, and best practices.

+ Partner with providers and staff to enhanceteam-based care and patient engagement.

What You Bring to the Team

•Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)preferred. ✔2+ years of experiencein a medical assistant role (lead or supervisory experience a plus). ✔Highly reliableand committed to team success.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

+ No less than 2+ years’ experience as a Medical Assistant

+ Experience with Electrocardiogram (EKG), taking vital signs, venipuncture, capillary and giving injections.

Other Requirements:

+ Must possess a current BLS certification or obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

General Physical Requirements

+ While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

+ The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch.

+ The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

+ W ork Environment: Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings.

OSHA Category This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
