DESCRIPTION
As a **Senior Outside Sales Representative** , you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward by engaging with independent stores and promoting our products. Your key responsibilities will include:
+ **Sales and Promotion:** Visit assigned stores in your territory monthly to present and secure orders for new items, promotional activities, and off-shelf displays. Plan ahead with buyers up to three months on promotions to ensure maximum impact.
+ **Merchandising:** Assist with merchandising efforts, including rotating stock, cleaning, stocking displays, and pricing merchandise. Ensure adherence to approved plan-o-grams and check date codes to maintain product quality.
+ **Order Management:** Enter turnover orders for all stores visited into our system and transmit them to the office for delivery by our distributors. This ensures a seamless supply chain and timely product availability.
+ **Event Coordination:** Coordinate and manage store events such as anniversary sales, demos, new store openings, remodels, and expansions. Work closely with store management to execute these events successfully.
+ **Client Relations:** Maintain a strong rapport with regional managers of our clients, keeping them informed of any issues, competitive activities, and market trends. Your insights will help shape our business strategies.
+ **Product Knowledge:** Stay updated on the products we sell and any new items introduced. Your expertise will be essential in providing valuable information to store buyers and ensuring our products are well-represented.
+ **Special Projects:** Collaborate with stores on special projects, including trade events, remodels, and new store openings. Your involvement will be key to the successful execution of these initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Visit assigned stores monthly to present new items and secure orders.
+ Plan promotional activities with buyers and secure orders for off-shelf displays.
+ Ensure existing items are being carried and assist with merchandising as needed.
+ Enter orders into the turnover order system and transmit them to the office.
+ Coordinate store events such as demos, trade events, remodels, and new store openings.
+ Maintain current knowledge of products and build strong client relationships.
+ Keep clients informed of store issues, competitive activities, and trends.
+ Maintain full distribution and display of products in assigned accounts.
+ Rotate stock, clean, stock displays, and price merchandise appropriately.
+ Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience Requirement:
+ Minimum of three years of sales or business development.
+ Microsoft software proficiency
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:
+ Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
+ Available for overnight travel.
+ Available for weekend work as well as be available to work nights and holidays.
+ Effectively communicate with others; must be able to speak and hear.
+ Walk, stoop, kneel, reach, pull, grasp and stand on a daily basis.
+ Good vision, dexterous use of both hands and be able to use a computer.
+ Stand and walk onboard ship for long periods of time.
