POSITION PURPOSE
The Total Rewards Analyst provides support to the compensation and retirement functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
+ Participates and assists in the development and administration of base compensation programs including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
+ Ensures consistency and internal equity for positions of similar responsibilities which are deemed comparable across the organization.
+ Participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze compensation information to determine company’s competitive position.
+ Performs analyses for determining salary offers for new hires.
+ Researches and compares compensation plans offered by demographically comparable organizations; assesses competitors plans and makes recommendations for enhancements or improvements required to keep the organizations plans competitive and effective.
+ Maintains and develops job descriptions for each position in the organization
+ Participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze compensation information to determine company’s competitive position.
+ Supports the administration of the retirement program by working with the 401(k) investment committee, plan administrators, actuaries, advisors and ERISA counsel.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
+ Bachelors degree in a related area or a combination of education and experience.
+ At least 1 year related experience.
+ Demonstrated analytical skills, specifically the ability to review data, observe trends and draw conclusions.
+ Extensive understanding and use of Microsoft Excel.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
+ Workday experience.
+ Experience in a union environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
DECISION MAKING
Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction. Decisions often require some thought and are somewhat structured. Decisions tend to be short term and usually moderate cost.
