Maury Microwave, comprised of Boonton Electronics, DBM, Holzworth and Noisecom, is a global designer and manufacturer of advanced RF and microwave components, modules, systems and instruments. Serving the wireless, telecommunication, satellite, military, aerospace, semiconductor and medical industries, Maury Microwave enables innovation across a wide range of traditional and emerging wireless technologies. We are expanding our Operations team with a new opportunity for an on-site Planner/Buyer within our Parsippany, New Jersey facility.
As a Planner/Buyer you will report to the Logistics Manager. Your role will consist of the following:
+ Forecast future material needs based on sales trends and production schedules.
+ Monitor inventory levels and manage reorder points to minimize cost while maintaining stock levels.
+ Collaborate with production, engineering and accounting to ensure seamless operations.
+ Negotiate pricing, and place orders to guarantee timely delivery of goods and services.
+ Generate Purchase Orders and Work Orders in the ERP system.
+ Resolve supply chain issues, monitor material shortages and quality problems.
+ Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and maintain contract negotiation policies.
+ Maintain product file, work order integrity and accuracy in our ERP system.
+ Other activities as outlined by Logistics Manager.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in an electronics role with the following items preferred:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
+ Familiarity with electronic components and supply chain management principles.
+ Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
+ Experience interacting with suppliers and supply chain demands daily.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
+ Effective follow up and follow through skills with strong attention to detail.
+ Knowledge and experience with Customer Portal sites, ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft applications.
